Ahhhh... Summer

Are you in shock that I am posting TWICE in one week?! I am. : ) So here are some pics of how we spent the day yesterday. It was my day off before my work week began. I am trying to spend as much time with the kids as possible instead of worrying about how clean the house is, or checking emails, or returning phone calls... so if you are one of those people waiting for me to return an email or phone call, just be patient - I'll do it on a work day. But my days off are for my kids.

So the weather this summer has been awesome! Last week was in the 60's (you'll hear no complaints out of me!) and this week has been in the low 80's to low 90's. My house stays cool enough to not run the air conditioner until about 3 or 4 in the afternoon and then by about 9 pm it's cooling off enough outside to open the house back up - it's perfect! Now if it could just stay like this for the next 3 months...

We went to the park where Kialaia could swing for hours if I let her...
Here is Brad and Kia hanging from a tree. You can't see, but Brad's feet are off the ground. It started with my giving him a boost to see if he could climb it - this is as far as he got.
Yummy Popsicles! Is anyone else annoyed that they don't package the root beer (brown) and raspberry (blue) together?! You have to buy two packs if you want both flavors - ugh - marketing.
When I was showing off my flowers in the last post I never made it out front to my beautiful rose bush... last year we only got 3 blooms. Now it's FULL!
Kinda speaks for itself...
I'm still waiting for word on my vow renewal pics... both ladies lead incredibly busy lives so I'm not going to bug them. But hopefully it will be soon!

Have all of my blogging buddies given up on me?!

I know, I know... I have completely neglected my blog for the last 2 months. But I promise we have spent the time well. I helped 6 clients bring their new babies into the world, plus helped one new momma and her new little guy during her first month postpartum. I just finished my last visit with them and I will miss them a lot. Anyway, I'm excited to share with you our pictures of our finished yard! Remember the pictures of my hideous backyard?
Pretty lame, right?
And here is the finished project... it only took us 2 months to do it!
Here is a sneak peak at something from our vow renewal... the flowers from the centerpieces I made.
And my yummy honeysuckle that is in full bloom and smells SO good! Below are a few more pics of how we've been spending our time.
Kialaia's Preschool Graduation... pretending to be shy... yeah right!
A night out with my girlfriends.
Our little nephew came from California to celebrate his FIRST birthday! He loved the cake!
Bradley was so gentle with Tyler and played so well with all the kids from the birthday party. He even gave them wagon rides from one end of the yard to the other and about half way through informed all the parents that he was charging 5 cents per kid, per ride. I think he made 75 cents that day! He then tried to use his entrepreneur skills at our vow renewal by asking guests if they would like something to drink. When he delivered their drink he would ask for a tip! We nipped that one in the bud... although it was pretty funny!
Until next time...
