Wow. We truly were blessed this Christmas. I'm not just talking about gifts, I'm talking about things like:
~Paul finishing school (and passing!)
~Paul's sisters and thier hubby's (and baby Tyler too) making it up here from California safely
~My mom and Richard making it up here from Texas safely
~Not a sniffle or a sneeze out of any of us Scheppers this year!
~God blessing us with enough money to turn right around and bless 3 families who were in need
~Great friends to spend time with - and laugh with! (Special thanks to Becky and Laurie who laugh with me the most!)
~Inspiring books to read
~Singing praises about the birth of our savior
~Yummy food to eat, and a daughter who likes to bake with her mommy
~Clients not going into labor on Christmas Day
~S*N*O*W*
And here are some pictures of our month:
Our first Progressive Dinner with friends.
Laurie, Rachel, Connie, Me, Delaney, and Heather
We had a white elephant gift exchange, but somehow Paul and I were the only ones who got actual white elephant gifts. Our friends Chris and Heather ended up with our gifts, which was perfect because Chris has the best sense of humor out of all of us... and Heather has to as well, to be married to him. So here they are with a "pooping' reindeer and a horribly ugly flying pig ornament!
Oh crap! I forgot to flip the picture - sorry! But here is Chris with his fake gold tooth in (if only you could experience the character that comes along with it!) and Paul showing off his "Joe Dirt" costume from a few years back. That mullet wig has been a staple at all parties ever since.
We have had so much snow - the second highest snowfall for this area (in December) on record. Too bad it was all during Christmas break so the kids didn't get any snow days out of it. Here is the sledding hill I tried to build for Kia in the driveway.
A happy camper when snow is on the ground. Bradley was off shoveling the neighbors' driveways. He would do it while they were at work so they would be surprised when they got home. One night he wasn't quite finished when our next door neighbor got home, and the man was so thrilled he paid Brad for his hard work!
Kia baking with me, if you consider rice crispy treats "baking"
The fruits of our labor

Kialaia is officially a Barbie Girl in a Barbie world. She got the dreamhouse, the car, the backyard BBQ set, Barbie the Pediatrician, Barbie the swim instructor, Barbie the dog trainer, and Barbie the soccer coach. Whew!
Brad got his beloved Ripstick. He's been practicing on the kitchen and dining room floors, partly because there has been snow and ice on the ground... but I think more importantly because he has the chairs and counters to hang on to while he gets used to it. Sorry about the sideways picture - again.
